Shutdown Octoprint after finished print

The plugin AutomaticShutdown (https://plugins.octoprint.org/plugins/automaticshutdown/) is great if you want to turn off your Printer after your print is finished. In my case I have the Octopi, the printer and a LED-lamp attached to a Fritz!Dect 200 remote controlled powersocket and configured it to turn itself off when the powerconsumption sinks below 12 Watts for 5 Minutes. So if the print is finished the autoshutdown-plugin shuts down the OctoPi. The socket detects the lower powerconsumption and shuts off itself off after the specified time… Save some energy here…

DIY Musicplayer for Kids – PhonieBox

With a growing number of children the need for more than one music player is quickly arising. As you know I am fond of free software, so I decided to build something with, tadaaaah: free software 😉 Fortunately there is a great project on the internet: the PhonieBox It is a collection of scripts that creates, on top of a raspberry pi, a music player with an interface for an RFID-Reader, Arcade-Buttons to control volume and skip tracks, and a webserver to upload music files to the raspberrys internal SD-Card. You can also add youtube-links, webradio and even play spotify-playlists....

3D printing with Ender3, Octoprint and Cura

Hi, in order to print my own PhonieBox Figurines (and out of the desire to make some experiments) i decided to buy a good and cheap 3D-Printer. After reading an testarticle about 3D Printers on Heise.de I decided to buy the open source 3D Printer Ender 3 from Creality for roughly 140,- EUR from 3DPrima.
